Ange Postecoglou has convinced 32-yr-old to ‘stick around’ at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur had appointed former midfielder Ryan Mason as the interim manager of the club before they decided to appoint Ange Postecoglou as the permanent replacement for Antonio Conte.

The 32-year-old managed to impress with his exploits as the Tottenham manager and he has been linked with a number of Championship clubs. Apparently, there is interest from Europe as well.

However, the newly appointed Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is reportedly impressed with Ryan Mason and he has convinced the 32-year-old to stick around had Tottenham with him.

Journalist Alasdair Gold has revealed on his YouTube channel that Mason is impressed with the newly appointed Tottenham manager as well.

“And from what I understand, Postecoglou was impressed with Mason, Mason was impressed with what Postecoglou had to say. And despite the fact that there’s a few clubs interested in Mason, two or three in the Championship, a couple across Europe, Postecoglou convinced him; ‘No, stick around with me’.”

Mason is undoubtedly a talented young manager with a big future ahead of him and it remains to be seen whether he decides to continue as a part of Postecoglou’s coaching staff at Tottenham.

Clearly, he will get opportunities to become a first-team manager at other clubs and that could be tempting for him.

Mason has previously admitted that he is ready to take on the challenge of being a first-team manager and he is ready for the Tottenham job if it comes his way.

The 32-year-old is well respected at Tottenham and he has a bond with the players as well. Him staying at the north London club would be a major boost for Tottenham. He could help Postecoglou settle in and share some of his workload as well.
