BBC pundit Clinton Morrison has heaped praise on the Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro.
The 24-year-old Spanish defender has found a new lease of life under the new Tottenham manager.
Ange Postecoglou prefers a free-flowing attacking system and the full-back has been excellent under the Australian’s management.
He has been given the license to venture forward more often and he has managed to influence the game with his creativity in the final third.
The former Sporting CP defender has 6 assists in 16 Premier League matches and Morrison claims that the Spaniard is now a key member of his Fantasy Premier League squad.
The fact that the Tottenham defender prefers to stay forward and help out his teammates in the attack means that he has greater chances of chipping in with goals and assists, therefore, resulting in more fantasy points.
Morrison claims that Porro has now become an indispensable asset for his Fantasy Premier League squad.
“I had Udogie, but I put Porro in and I put Porro in for the Forest game because I looked and he takes all the set pieces, he never defends all he tries to do is go forward and try to get goals and assists, so I think he’s there to stay to be honest,” Morrison said on the Fantasy 606 Podcast.
Porro was highly rated during his time at Sporting CP but he had a rough start to life in England. He seems to be enjoying his football under Postecoglou now and it remains to be seen whether he can sustain his current form and help Spurs finish in the top four.
Tottenham will be desperate for Champions League qualification and Porro will be a key player for them.
Furthermore, he is only 24 and he is likely to improve further with experience and coaching. He could develop into one of the best attacking full-backs in Europe.
