Tottenham continue to be linked with Barcelona winger Raphinha. The Brazilian winger, who has impressed in La Liga since his move from Leeds United in 2022, remains a player of interest for Spurs, despite his current success with the Catalan giants.
That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who disclosed that Raphinha has always attracted interest from several clubs across Europe including Tottenham.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said:
“Raphinha has always been attractive to several clubs, not only in Europe, when Barcelona signed him from Leeds there was interest from Chelsea and interest from Arsenal. He’s always been a player of interest for Tottenham, they have always appreciated him.”
Barcelona signed Raphinha for an initial £50 million, and under new manager Hansi Flick, the Brazilian winger has quickly cemented his place as a key player for the La Liga leaders.
His form this season has been outstanding, with five goals and three assists in six matches, earning him the La Liga Player of the Month award for August. Since joining the club, he has racked up an impressive 25 goals and 28 assists in 94 games.
While Tottenham recently strengthened their attacking options with the signings of Dominic Solanke and Wilson Odobert, Raphinha’s name continues to circulate as a potential future target.
However, any move is unlikely to happen in the immediate future. With a contract running until 2027 and a market value around €50 million, Barcelona are unlikely to part ways with one of their standout performers easily.
Though no transfer appears imminent, Tottenham’s sustained interest in the Brazilian winger suggests they could explore opportunities to bring him to North London in upcoming windows. Spurs fans will be eager to see if the club can eventually lure the dynamic forward back to the Premier League.
