Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move show the Everton forward Anthony Gordon this summer.

The 21-year-old had an impressive season with that of his last year and he was crucial to their quest for survival in the relegation battle.

Gordon has now been linked with a move away from Goodison Park with the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea reportedly keen on securing his services.

According to journalist Paul Brown, Spurs could look to hijack the young attacker’s move to Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes.

Brown told GIVEMESPORT“Don’t rule out a late bid from Spurs, especially as they know it would really annoy Chelsea, which is something I’m sure the Spurs chairman would love to do.”

Antonio Conte has already signed the likes of Richarlison from Everton and it remains to be seen whether he’s willing to push for Gordon as well.

The talented Everton attacker can operate as a winger on either flank and his versatility could be an asset for Spurs. However, the reported £60m price could be prohibitive and it would be quite surprising if Daniel Levy sanctioned a considerable outlay on the youngster this summer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are in need of attacking reinforcements as well and it is no surprise that they are eyeing a move for Gordon this summer. It will be interesting to see where the talented youngster ends up eventually.

Even at 60M Chelsea would still outbid us,although from the point of view of acoually playing we would be a better bet.Levy will not pay that sort of money on a kid, especially as these crazy prices currently are unsustainable.

Does anyone really believe Daniel cares one iota about “annoying Chelsea” when this can take time away from his core business of property management?
