Arsenal needs to play their Monday fixture against Crystal Palace, but for now, Tottenham Hotspur has moved into the top four. Both north London rivals are tied for 54 points, but Spurs hold the tiebreaker with the goal differential.

In Tottenham’s 5-1 thrashing of Newcastle United, Harry Kane didn’t score a goal but played a role in creating scoring chances for the squad. On Sunday, the 28-year-old had one assist and three key passes in 90 minutes of action.

After seeing Kane play a key role again for their rival, broadcaster Piers Morgan went on Twitter to share his concern for his Gunners, who decided to part ways with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the January transfer window.

“Hmmm. If Spurs nick Top4 because they have a world class striker like Kane and we gave ours away for free to Barcelona… well, let’s hope that doesn’t happen,” Morgan tweeted

Suppose Tottenham does overtake Arsenal and holds on for that top-four finish. In that case, there’s no doubt some will point to The Gunners deciding to let Aubameyang leave a couple of months ago will be something that gets spotlighted when looking back at their season.

Sounds like he’s making excuses for if it happens already, whilst having a sly dig at Spurs

I’ve always wondered what Morgan’s function was after he quit as a newspaper editor. Annoying, self appointed know-all c*nt? Well, we certainly needed another one of those didn’t we… 😂
