Tottenham Hotspur wants to improve their forward group to add more scoring depth. The north London club has looked at various options to fill the need, but one of those is now being closed.
According to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United forward Anthony Martial wants to leave, but he’s still not interested in any loan move to join English clubs.
Newcastle and Tottenham’s approaches were turned down with Barcelona, Sevilla, and Juventus the three options to leave in January for the France international.
The Red Devils and Martial turning down Spurs was an obvious decision considering they would be strengthening an opponent they are fighting with for a top-four spot. Despite both parties wanting to part ways, it seems neither intends to hurt the club with a move to north London.
With Martial now a target they have to cross off their list, The Lilywhites will have to go to other options to improve their forward group before the January transfer window closes.

He’s a lazy waste of talent and we’re trying to get rid of one of those as we speak. No thanks…
Comes to something when we can’t entice a third rate player like Martial to our ranks.
