Tottenham Hotspur could be looking to bolster their attack as there are only a few hours left until the summer transfer window closes.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the London-based club continues to have an interest in Manchester United forward Anthony Martial, a player they’ve had eyes on three years ago.

Manchester United has seen the arrival of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo’s return. Furthermore, there’s Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford and others pushing for playing time, which likely means less minutes for Martial.

The Atheltic have reported that the 25-year-old is a candidate for a departure, and with the FIFA World Cup around the corner, the only way to make a stacked France national team is by playing.

Spurs have been linked to Martial all summer long and could provide the forward with a new lease on his career following the 2020-21 season where he only scored seven goals in 37 appearances for The Red Devils.

Martial does bring versatility to a squad as he can play as a striker and left-winger, so it will be interesting to see whether Tottenham pulls the trigger on this deal.
