“I actually feel sorry for Mourinho in some ways” Pundit slams Tottenham players after Everton loss

Rio Ferdinand has slammed Tottenham players for making the same errors all the time.

In recent weeks, they have lost momentum in the top four race and Everton has just eliminated them from the FA Cup.

The Lilywhites have now won just one of their last five matches.

Ferdinand doesn’t think the fault is with Jose Mourinho and claims that he feels sorry for the Special One.

Mourinho has adapted his system in recent games, but his team lets him down with some individual mistakes every time.

Their lapses in concentration let the opponents score and Ferdinand thinks they can achieve nothing if that doesn’t change.

He said on BT Sports: “I actually feel sorry for Mourinho in some ways, because in recent weeks he has changed quite a few times in the way they have approached games.

“West Brom was a bit different but it changed when Harry Kane wasn’t playing for example, and now tonight they were open and expansive.

“But each and every one of those times recently they are being undone by individual moments and errors.

“As a manager you can prepare all you like for each game, but these individual errors are killing you, so in that sense I feel sorry for him because sometimes it derails his whole plan that he has worked on all week.

“It is a quality thing. [There are] too many players consistently making mistakes.

“Until they get that right and eradicate those type of mistakes, they can never really consider themselves a team that is really going to challenge consistently.

“Mistakes lead to goals, which leave you chasing and leave you open and that causes problems consistently.”

Spurs will face Manchester City in their next competitive game. Pep Guardiola’s side is in top form, they will beat Spurs if they continue to struggle with these problems.

The return of Harry Kane has boosted Mourinho’s options and fans will be praying he leads them to do the league double over City this season.

This is in sky sports paper snippets.

  • ‘Tottenham have hired a commercial chief who landed one of the most lucrative stadium naming-rights deals in the NFL.’

The Daily mail so not sure if true or in fact if a care.

To add when Harry needed a few players in one winter market for champs league qualification and poch needed support due to injuries and tiredness in another winter transfer to win a actual title ,where the fook were enic.
A actual fooking title ,they do not grow on trees!!
Although don’t worry we are a bil in debt and didn’t give it 2 thoughts ,,it’s not our debt it’s yours you mugs .

Yeah your right totally spot on sack.poch after not supporting him when needed then get a top name and not support him .
They did it that way to not spend money ,he is a winner he will save millions improving our squad.
Amazed your getting it the wrong way round.

If your preference is fantasy football with lots of goals and you accept losing then this is it, and you’ve short memories of ossie as manager. If you want good football and winning, it’s an evolution but you start with a solid defence. But it takes rebuild time, I saw us beat utd in 86 but now know what that became.

15m is nothing to a football club of Tottenham’s size.

He’s right. I feel sorry for Jose, and I’m not even his biggest fan.

Crap players, crap chairman… must be incredibly frustrating for any manager.

I may not love Jose, but it’s a horrible predicament to be in as a manager.

I certainly enjoyed it more than our dull & pathetic losses to chelski, brighton & liverpuddle.

Read the comments on a few posts now… lots of criticising the defenders, not an awful lot from those who have been talking about “boring football” and “defensive Jose” for 6 months.

Well, here you are, hope you enjoyed it.

Name me a manager anywhere in the world that could win the Premier League with our squad.

£15m a year is a lot cheaper than buying the number and quality of players our squad needs to really compete. The problem is Levy and ENIC. They refuse to spend the money necessary to build a squad that can really challenge so spend a few million a year on a manager each season that they’ll eventually blame for their own shortcomings and then sack. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

In saying with our history in the transfer market and levy being in charge, it does make you wonder doesn’t it ?
Maureen at least gets 15 mil for his frustrations ,we get nada.
Although since I have ever been born we have not been that great ,,but ok ,enic have even made that worse.
To be honest expectations of most spurs fans are way off ,not jam today or tomorrow, probably no jam anytime soon ….

We still have to endure it this weekend.

At least we showed spirit and fight. Two goals were shots that any team would have trouble stopping, the penalty was unlucky and the other goals were a mix of bad turnovers of the ball( Hojbjerg then Winks) followed by the backs lack of communication and playing Everton on side.

Some of those mistakes are fixable so I won’t go overboard with the doom and gloom. We’re stuck with the players until the summer so we have to make the best of it. As Ferdinand said it’s a matter of quality players.

Off topic money must be tight, someone said that Liverpool paid Preston £2 million for the centre back Davies and asked to pay in £500,000 installments.

Very true and on the spot Ferdinand’s analyses Mourinho has been vindicated last night he has no defenders simple that is why he was asking Levy in the summer window to get him Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar and levy said he is too expensive and went his way and got Mr Bale with zero contribution to the team so far who the manager never asked to have him in the 1st place now if Spurs do not get any success in this season can you blame Jose Mourinho who knows what he wants and what to do in his field of expertise as a winner and successful manager in his life time I applaud Jose big time and from what I saw the last game I will never put any blame on him unless he is listened to and be backed whatever tools he wants to succeed with Spurs any other talk is a non starter for me and is a waste of time and space period.
