Stoke City is closing in on the temporary signing of Jack Clarke after Tottenham agreed to allow him to leave on loan once again.
The former Leeds United man struggled on loan at the Yorkshire side and QPR last season, and Spurs decided to keep him for the first half of this campaign.
He hasn’t broken into their first team yet, but training with Harry Kane and Gareth Bale has been better than joining a lower-tier English side and not playing regularly.
The winger is now set to leave Tottenham again, according to Football Insider, and Stoke City seems to be winning the race for his signature.
Coventry City and Sheffield Wednesday are two other teams that have been looking to sign him in this campaign, but the Potters appear to be in pole position.
Stoke is eyeing a return to the Premier League at the end of the season, and they have caught the eye with some of their transfer activities recently.
Rhys Norrington-Davies and Alfie Doughty have agreed to join them from Sheffield United and Charlton respectively.
Jack Clarke played 20 minutes in Tottenham’s 5-0 win over Marine at the weekend, and he has improved since he was on loan last season, giving him the chance to make more appearances if he joins Stoke.

Stoke newington?🌚
Good luck to him…being a Stokie I always look for their results anyway..
