Oliver Skipp’s loan spell at Norwich City now spans some 20 Championship games and regular readers will be aware that I see potential in our boy. Yes, of course there is still work to be done, but from what I’ve seen, the 20-year-old is thriving with the Canaries.
I take a view that Sissoko isn’t getting any younger, and that if Oliver can continue to progress, then Spurs will find Skipp at worst a valuable squad player.
Here are some of Ollie’s best actions in the recent win against Cardiff City.
Defensive duels
Recovery
Interception
Dribble

Yeah but apart from defensive duels/recoveries/interceptions/dribbles
is he really that good?
Harry, if you are good it will come to light by “playing” as Skipp is doing. Norwich has ambitions to move up so they on to something with Skipp. Winks next to PEH in this lineup (forget his load of short comings) will allow us to hold onto the ball, fetch it from Dier before he gives it away and stop Hugo and Toby from booting it long. He is what we have now until next summer. Jose should use him.
I saw the comment “Oliver Skipp is the player Spurs fans think Harry Winks is!” The truth however is, certainly on this board, that the knowledgeable fans amongst us know that Harry Winks is not the player we think Oliver Skipp is either now or especially will become. All season long the Norwich City diehards have been singing his praises. Just read the plaudits, it’s all you need to know about the impact of Skipp as a loanee. We are very high on this boy and with good reason.
Amen to that
Swap him for Harry Winks I say.
Great assessment, more Carrick than pub doorman
Apart from strength and athleticism he is twice the play Sissoko is.
He keeps possession and plays quick precise passing and reads the game well..dare I say it reminds me of a Carrick type..bring him back and get him playing..
