Gunners “can’t keep playing like this if we have any expectation of winning games” Admits Colossal Arsenal Fan

While Sky Sports pundits were left visibly reeling from another authoritative Tottenham performance, I was curious to find out what actual Arsenal fans felt about the loss. Were they too demanding a recount, or fuming over the supposed absence of integrity in the way Mourinho marshalled his troops?

A brief glance over at Arseblog was revealing and perhaps and might even be made prescribed reading for those who are struggling with our system and its success.

As per my recent piece about Arsenal’s xG map, Arseblog makes the point that they made 44 crosses and were unable to convert a single one. No whining about bus parking, just a sense of fatigue that Arsenal simply haven’t been good enough this season.

‘Yeah but Spurs are boring’ came a cry from the weeds. The problem with that is as Duncan Alexander pointed out, the Gunners are offensively substandard.

Which, if we extend the hypothetical logic, begs the question, do some Spurs fans actually want Mourinho to play a more gung-ho attacking style, in order to give second rate sides like Arsenal a better chance to find their feet?!

In conclusion, the biggest and undoubtedly the best Arsenal blog on planet Earth understands that faults lie with the losers of football matches and not the winners of them. Whodathunkit?

HK seemed to get in on the defensive headers act quite a bit too.

José prepares & sends the team out to win EVERY match, whether by ‘stealth’ or otherwise.

Our shape pushed them out wide with the only option to cross (which invariably ended up on Diers head) or cutting back to retain possession with no threat. The only time we have looked vulnerable was against Abraham/Giroud in the last 3 games. To add to that the goons played a back 3 which left space down their sides for a counter. It was simple but very effective. The next 2 league games are going to be interesting. Palace with Benteke in the air might actually cause some harm so will need to defend higher and then another resilience test against Liverpool. I think we can get at the bin dippers but would happily settle for another point now.

Meant to say in the last thread. The Arse remind me of old Spurs.
Not bad pass the ball around but no spine.
As Mouro said yesterday “50% coaching/50% player desire”
