Big development claimed in Tottenham’s defender search

It is not looking good for Tottenham’s pursuit of one player with Gazzetta Dello Sports reporting that Milan Skriniar is looking increasingly likely to stay put at Inter Milan now.

The Slovakian defender has been Tottenham’s chosen centre-back to join their team this summer, but the Lilywhites have been struggling to get the deal over the line.

They are yet to put in an official bid for the former Sampdoria man and it is reported that Spurs feel he is rated at 35m euros.

Inter Milan rates him at 50m euros and the Italians don’t seem ready to significantly reduce their valuation of the defender.

The report is suggesting that the momentum has now shifted and that the defender is more likely to stay in Italy because Tottenham has “lost track” of their move for him.

With the Italians looking to reinvest his transfer fee in this transfer market before it closes, they gave Spurs 48 hours from Sunday to come forward with a bid that would be acceptable, but the Lilywhites never did.

It seems that Spurs have now turned their attention to other targets with several reports in England claiming that Mourinho’s side is interested in a move for Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger (SkySports).

Jose does want to bring success to Tottenham yes. Loves the club. He’s only now realizing how rubbish a club Chelsea is.

Jokin aside, Mourinho is definitely convincing me he wants to bring success to Spurs, not sure of his football but here’s hoping.

As long as he got there in the end. On paper some of our ex managers were OK. Santini won stuff. Jol was good. Avb looked OK Ramos won stuff harry was very good. Hoddle was hoddle. Can’t think of the rest. No money for any of these managers though to spend though so they never stood a chance. We have the most decorated manager in the world now with a few quid🌚

That win last night just might be the inspiration for Levy to think more positive and get the players Mourinho wants……then again !

Monday is going to be f*cking Levy-style hectic. But I’d rather have it hectic than the boring drudgery of the last two summer deadline days. Just sorry I didn’t book Monday and Tuesday off work.

Probably be too late then either he’ll end up staying or another team will poach him and levy will be well we tried !!! Shame as Milik and Skriniar would be a finish to a very good window

Oh dear. I hope Eric Dire goes to the loo before the up and coming games, because it’s looking likely he’ll need to play all of them.
