Football London journalist Alasdair Gold has poured cold water on reports that Tottenham is interested in signing Fenerbahce striker, Vedat Muriqi.
The Kosovo striker has been one of the names that come up when Spurs are being linked with a move for a striker.
He has been in fine form for his Turkish club and reports have claimed that Spurs are keen on him.
Spurs need a backup striker to Harry Kane and their struggles when the Englishman got injured earlier in the year make it an almost certainty that they will try to sign a new striker in the summer.
A number of attackers have been linked with a move to Jose Mourinho’s side, however, Gold seems to suggest that Vedat Muriqi isn’t one of the names that Spurs fans should expect.
After making a list of strikers that could become backup options for Spurs next season, he didn’t add Muriqi, and a fan questioned why the striker’s name was missing and he claimed that there is “Nothing in it”.
Nothing in it.

Spurs have, however, been linked with a move for Lille’s Victor Osimhen as the Nigerian continues to score goals for his French side.
He has only recently joined Lille but Spurs could tempt them to sell him with a big-money offer.
