At time of blogging, 73,882 fans voted in total on an ESPN poll asking if Jose was the right man.
69% of them do not believe that Jose Mourinho will succeed in his new role at Tottenham. That’s over 50,000 fans that lack belief in Daniel Levy’s latest appointment.
I take a view that many fans will still be struggling with the change.
After all, the emotional investment by many over the course of 5 years will have been significant, and perfectly understandable.
Mauricio Pochettino frequently spoke of the perception and the reality of his situation at Spurs.

The reality of for Tottenham fans is that the much vaunted project is over.
Mauricio worked tirelessly, but in the final analysis, his reign failed to produce trophies and rightly or wrongly, silverware is what separates good managers from iconic managers.
Poch worked comparative miracles, and Jose arrives at Hotspur Way with a fresh baseline. Whatever the Special One achieved in his massively impressive past are now just that – in his past.

Spot on.. Our two best managers so far this century, as soon as poch and redknapp started to fly then levy either brought them rubbish, or nothing at all.. Redknapps team were close too with defoe van der vaart bale crouchy etc.. He asked for another decent cam and striker to push on and got nielsen who was poor and an old saha who hadnt scored in two years.. Jose was moaning at manures board after they gave him 350 million to fritter 😆
Problem with that vote is it ignores the levy factor. I don’t believe any manager can succeed under what levy had done for past 20yrs.
Today is a historic day. My first viewing of the match as a fan of Tottenham. I hope for our victory, I believe in the philosophy of mourinho, I hope the players will be united until our victorious end. only strong guys will go this way to the end- and such 31% of the total number of fans. The weak will cry and scream all along our path.
