Mischievous Arsenal Hack Up To His Old Tricks Ahead Of Spurs Cup Tie

John Cross.

If that’s the answer, god only knows what the question was. My best guess is that it wasn’t one suitable for a family audience.

For the Marxist rag, The Mirror, the ever fragrant Cross tells us that he believes that Real Madrid are all set to revitalize their ‘audacious swooping’ activities for our coach.

It’s a curious leap from reality that Cross makes, but as usual with his anti-Spurs stuff, he makes a disingenuous headline, then spends the rest of the article layering reasonable arguments to support the case.

Real may like to keep the Pochettino option simmering, but the odds of Los Blancos hiring a manager who has won nothing are wafer

Thing is, that’s not honest journalism when you do that; that’s simply opinion, paraded as insight.

I’ll wait for the dyed in the wool Madridistas Marca, to begin their inevitable campaign, if it’s all the same, Johnny boy.

Elsewhere, tonight’s match isn’t available via legitimate means – but the good news is that is has been sold extensively overseas. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.

Hope they sort it cos there’s a danger of wasting a rare talent the way Guardiola talks about him.

yeah, but he is not under a long deal, and could poach him when his contract expires. Probably on the hook for development fee though

Tanguy and LoCelso will add creativity once they settle and Captain Middlephart will be a distant memory…

I think we shall finish outside the top 4 (then getting it wrong I always do) and have little faith in Tanguy. How many more ordinary midfielders do we want. What Spurs need is what Spurs never have is plenty of pace and creativity!

maybe its less arrogance and more a confidence thing? Maybe its that people don’t think he is having enough game time?

We might not win a trophy but I see top 4 and a decent European run on the cards once we get LoCelso and Tanguy fully intergrated. By XMas we might look a decent side again.

I agree City wouldn’t go for it,however it could be good for both sides. Can’t see City accepting Levy’s 5M offer for the lad though, assuming he would go that high.

I doubt City would do it, and a lot of people would moan our side about developing someone else’s talent, but personally its a short term gain, would offer us a real alternative option and we could poach him if we really go for it.

Yes they have a leaky defence but now that Tierney, Holding and Bellarin have returned from respective injuries it may strengthen the side.

I’m praising Forest because they were pretty decent but had nothing up front, which suited Woolwich because they have a shite defence.

The Two Bob Cup is probably their level now, after being tonked in the Ropey final…

A good point.David Silva is invariably subbed off after about 60 minutes,in his last season, but it is almost never Foden that takes his place. In fact he is not always on the bench.
I agree he would give us a boost and would be good for his developement to work under Poch as well as Pep.At least we know he would be fit to start.

Hey – I agree with you! I think his approach was wrong, and agree with the ruling, it was not for the reasons he stated…but my issue is the fact he felt the need to do it in the first place was because we have huge number of MPs that are not doing their job, which is representing their people. There are MP’s that have their seats soley based on the party they represent, then they have switched parties without offering a bye election pushing the mandate of the people harder to realise. I don’t like Boris, but what he is doing is trying to do a job when all the people supposed to be doing it with him are refusing to do what is best for the nation.

I want to win the FA Cup, finish top 4 and have a decent run in the C.L. Do we have the squad for that? Thats the real question.

Poch will want the squad to aim for another Champions League final but with the upheaval currently within the squad it seems a massive stretch.

Personally I wouldn’t trade Champions League football for the FA Cup and play in that other two bob cup, the Ropey. Not at this stage of play.

Let’s hope we can do both, besides if we won the League Cup the media would be saying that it isn’t enough and that it means nothing anyway…

Levy has gone out of his way to manage expectations yet again after the ‘debt restructuring’ thingy.

“There is no short term fix to join the global elite clubs”…

Eh? What the fuck are you talking about? The first team just needs to be well furnished with what it needs to keep improving, recruitment well run with a situation where you don’t have FOUR 1st choice players in the last year of their contracts.

The situation is clearly a neglect of ones responsibilities to keep things running smoothly as possible.

It seems Levy became so wrapped up in the stadium that he obviously didn’t care about recruiting players or agreeing contracts.

It’s a sackable offence for me, yet he has always booted out anyone else he can pin the blame on. Countless managers and Directors Of Football came and went. Now it’s down to him and he’s the highest paid chairman in the league.

He’s taking the piss out of us…

I get what you are saying Easty but small time cups are all we are good for, especially this season which looks to be a struggle….fans have to have something to hope for….not winning any type of cup over the last 5 years has mentally effective this squad and manager…all the bullshit about “only big cups” yet here we are with all the top 4 money and yet our squad is weaker…I guess its going to get worse before it gets better, assuming Poch has the patience to stay…
