Lucas Moura is the guy who shows up at your birthday party wearing a bow tie, with a Russ Abbott LP under his arm.
He won a trophy last night.
Last night’s win was a weird affair. I guess that was always going to be the case, as the entire tournament was a predictably soulless exercise in ‘fan engagement’ in aid of a car manufacturer.
Postives included Tananga again, and of course Roles and Skipp who all put their penalties away like bosses. Which is more than can be said for Christian Eriksen’s lame duck.
Harry Kane’s penalty was frankly obscene.
A source close to the club tells the Harry Hotspur blog that the Pochettino’s annoyance with the cretins that keep asking him the same questions again and again ….stems from the gaffers’ massive sense of impending disappointment.
The atmosphere inside the club has ‘gone off the boil’, and the signing of Tanguy NDombele …could well end up being the highlight of the summer window.
THFC doesn’t do PR well, and this was underlined by The Guardian being fed the committee myth again on Wednesday.
Pochettino does have a say in the club’s transfers and contracts. He is part of a four-man committee alongside Levy, the chief scout Steve Hitchen and the head of coaching and player development, John McDermott. Hitchen is charged with providing a list of targets, Pochettino can add to that and no player is recruited without his assent.
This is patently untrue, as confirmed by Poch’s ‘the club need to change my title and description’ outburst.‘
Should Levy fail to make further meaningful signings, then Levy will need to make a public statement as to why.

Same as last season with Skipp and Amos. Parrot and tanganga…..come opening day see if Poch really has faith in the youth cos last year the kids vanished and the thin, overplayed first teamers were thrown under the bus.
