5 Things We Learned Last Time Out: Statistical Analysis vs Sheffield|09.11.19

By The Boy -

ONE Last time we played this lot, Mauricio Pochettino was in charge, and here we are some 9 months on and the chances are, Spurs will be fielding a very similar starting XI, bar Hugo Lloris will be in goal this evening.

TWO As far as the dynamics of the game went, Spurs struggled to keep up with the Blades, but one must bear in mind, that at this point, our squad was flat to the boards, physically and psychologically.

THREE Where Spurs did get an edge for much of the game, was in respect of passing accuracy, but towards the end of the game, it was the Blades that wanted it more. A draw was fortunate.

FOUR Beware the long balls. United stuck rigidly to the same formation all game long and yet Poch couldn’t get a handle on a preferred method of attack.

FIVE Ben Davies beware, last time out, United sent 61% of their heavy artillery down their right, our left flank.

Let’s take advantage of Chelsea’s slip. Hope there is no Blades backlash, they can’t be this poor a team after the season they have had.
