Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim.

The 38-year-old has been quite impressive for the Portuguese club and his exploits have attracted the attention of the north London club.

Tottenham are searching for a long-term replacement for manager Antonio Conte. The 53-year-old departed the Premier League club following an explosive press conference where he criticised his players and questioned their commitment and attitude.

The likes of Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino have been linked as potential replacements as well and it will be interesting to see who comes in as a replacement for the Italian eventually.

The likes of Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason are expected to be in charge until the end of the season.

According to a report from Portuguese newspaper A Bola (h/t Sportwitness), Amorim is keen on staying at Sporting CP and a move to Tottenham is not on his wish list right now.

Apparently, the 38-year-old manager does not want to join the north London club because of Daniel Levy’s temper. The Tottenham chief’s attitude and reputation seems to have put off Amorim and he wants to stay away from the London club.

Tottenham will be hoping to hold on to their key players beyond this season and they will want to challenge for trophies as well they must look to bring in a top-quality manager to replace Antonio Conte.

The fans will certainly hope that the club can show some ambition and bring in a proven winner.
