30-year-old Tottenham player opens up on transfer that ‘was sad to see’

By Saikat -

Tottenham sanctioned the departure of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich earlier this summer.

The England international is undoubtedly one of the best players in Tottenham’s history and his departure left the fans and the players disappointed.

Kane will want to win major trophies at this stage of his career and he has managed to hit the ground running at his new club. It remains to be seen whether he can end his wait for a trophy with Bayern Munich this season.

Tottenham defender Ben Davies has now opened up on his exit and revealed that he had a close relationship with the 30-year-old striker. Kane was an exceptional servant for Tottenham during his time at the club, and it is hardly surprising that his teammates are sad to see him leave.

“I would say Harry Kane as well, it was sad to see him go after all this time, but he was an incredible player and I was lucky to play with him,” Davies said on TNT Sports.

Kane is one of the best goalscorers of his generation and his departure was expected to weaken Tottenham severely. However, Tottenham have been quite impressive in the Premier League so far and they are still unbeaten in the league.

They are just one point adrift of the top spot in the table and Tottenham will be determined to return to the Champions League at the end of this season.

Manager Ange Postecoglou has got them playing an exciting brand of football and players like Son Heung-min have taken up the goal-scoring responsibility after the departure of Kane. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can sustain their current run of form and finish high up the table this season.

Tottenham clearly have a talented squad at their disposal and they have the confidence and momentum with them as well. If they can bring in the right reinforcements in January, there is no reason why they cannot finish the season strongly.
