Sevilla are reportedly looking to sign the Tottenham defender Clement Lenglet at the end of the season as per Mundo Deportivo.
The French defender is currently on loan at Tottenham from Barcelona and he is expected to return to his parent club at the end of the season.
The player does not have a long-term future at the Spanish club and it seems highly unlikely that Tottenham will sign him permanently.
Lenglet needs to sort out his long-term future and a move back to his former club could be ideal. Sevilla are in need of defensive reinforcements and Lenglet could be a useful addition to them.
The 27-year-old has not been able to impress adequately since his move to Tottenham and the Londoners will have to invest in quality young centre-backs at the end of the season.
Tottenham have been linked with players like Jonathan Tah and Piero Hincapie in recent months.
Cristian Romero is the only reliable defender at the club right now and it remains to be seen whether Conte can bring in the necessary reinforcements at the end of the season.
The Italian manager has put together an impressive squad at Tottenham but he needs to plug certain gaps in his side before Tottenham are capable of challenging for major trophies. A centre-back and a central midfielder should be the top priority for Tottenham during the summer transfer window.
As for Lenglet, he was quite impressive during his previous spell at Sevilla and he will be hoping to get his career back on track with a move to the Andalusian club.
