Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to sanction the departure of star midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, the Denmark international is currently in talks with Atletico Madrid regarding a summer move and the two parties are currently discussing personal terms.
Tottenham could let the player leave if they receive a suitable bid this summer.
Galetti adds that Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie is ‘in the list’ of the English club as a ‘possible replacement’ for Hojbjerg.
Kessie has struggled for regular game time at the Spanish club and he could look to leave them this summer.
If Tottenham can provide him with game-time assurances, the former AC Milan midfielder could be tempted to join them.

Meanwhile, Hojbjerg has been a key player for Tottenham and Spurs must look to replace him adequately if they decide to let him leave.
Tottenham missed out on Champions League qualification last season and they will be desperate to bounce back strongly and finish in the top four.
They will need to bring in the right reinforcements this summer and signing a quality central midfielder should be a top priority.
Kessie will add physicality and defensive cover to the Tottenham midfield. The 26-year-old has the physical attributes to thrive in the Premier League and he could prove to be a useful acquisition for Tottenham.
The Barcelona midfielder is very much in the peak of his powers and he could be a key player for the north London club next season.
