26-goal forward linked with PL move, Tottenham lurking ‘in the background’

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on the Brazilian striker Pedro.

According to a report from Tutto Mercato Web, the Brazilian striker has suitors from the Premier League and the likes of Nottingham Forest and Brentford are keen on him as well.

The report adds that Spurs are ‘in the background’ as the battle for his services continues to heat up.

The 26-year-old has a contract with Flamengo until the summer of 2027 and he managed to score 26 goals in 35 games across all competitions for them last season.

Tottenham could certainly use a quality striker like him especially if Harry Kane decides to move on.

The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to German club Bayern Munich and the player is in the final year of his contract. Spurs will be under pressure to cash in on him and they will not want to lose him on a free transfer next year.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be an attractive option for the Brazilian forward and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can agree on a fee with the Brazilian club for Pedro.

The 26-year-old is at the peak of his powers and he will look to prove himself in the Premier League.

Tottenham certainly have the finances and the pull to beat the likes of Nottingham and Brentford to his signature and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
