Tottenham Hotspur picked up a comprehensive win over Newcastle United in the Premier League last night.
The North London giants were going through a rough patch and the win over Newcastle will have given them an immense confidence boost. Goals from Destiny Udogie, Richarlison and Son Heung-min sealed a 4-1 win for the North London side.
They will be looking to build on it in the coming weeks and secure Champions League qualification this season.
There were several impressive performances on the pitch against Newcastle, but Tottenham defender Pedro Porro has now chosen his top performer for the night. The 24-year-old Spanish defender believes that Cristian Romero was the best performer on the pitch for Tottenham against Newcastle and he shared his appreciation for the Argentine international’s performance on social media after the game.
“I have no doubt that we are on the right track. Let’s keep everything together always, whatever happens always together,” said Romero on Instagram after the game.

Romero has been a key player for Tottenham since joining the club and the North London outfit will be delighted to see him perform at a high level. He has done quite well this season and Spurs need him to stay fit and available for the remainder of the season.
They are lacking in depth in the defensive unit and Romero’s absence weakens them severely. The Argentine International has not had too many injury problems, but his aggressive defending has often landed him a suspension and he will need to be more careful going forward.
Tottenham cannot afford to lose a player of his quality during a crucial period of the season.
