Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing 24-year-old Bundesliga star this summer.
A report from 90 Min claims that Spurs will face competition from Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United. Apparently, the player has ‘interest in moving to north London’ this summer.
The Londoners have already held talks with Edmond Tapsoba’s representatives and discussions are at an advanced stage. However, they are yet to agree on a deal with the German club.
Bayern Leverkusen want £42.5 million for the 24-year-old defender and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are ready to pay up.
Tapsoba is not the only defender Tottenham are looking at. They have been linked with Micky van de Ven as well.
The 22-year-old Dutchman has impressed in the Bundesliga along with Tapsoba and both players will be quality acquisitions for the Londoners.
Players like Max Kilman and Aymeric Laporte have been considered as potential targets as well according to 90 Min.
The defence has been a weakness for Tottenham and if Ange Postecoglou can sort it out, Tottenham could very well challenge for a place in the top four next season.
The Premier League side have a quality squad at their disposal and they will be looking to bounce back strongly with the right reinforcements.
