Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Portuguese winger Jota in recent months.
A report from the Sun claims that the 24-year-old winger dreams of moving to Tottenham so that he can reunite with his former manager Ange Postecoglou in January.
It is no secret that the North London club needs to bring in attacking reinforcements, especially with players like Richarlison, Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic sidelined with injuries.
Tottenham will have to add more quality and depth to their side and the 24-year-old could prove to be a useful acquisition. Apparently, a loan move could be on the and he could be an inexpensive addition to the Tottenham attack.
The player shone under Postecoglou during their time together at Celtic and he will add goals and creativity to the Tottenham attack. The player joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad during the summer transfer window for a fee of around £25 million but he has not been able to play regularly because of the division’s rules. Apparently, Saudi clubs cannot register more than eight foreign players.
Jota needs to play more often at this stage of his career and a loan move in January would be ideal for all parties. Regular football at Tottenham will be an attractive proposition for him and he should be able to fit in well at the North London club.
He knows the Australian manager’s style of play and the Portuguese attacker could solve Tottenham’s ranking problems without any substantial investment.
