Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old Serbian has had a mediocre season with the Italian giants so far, and he has scored just 11 goals across all competitions.
According to a report from JuveLive.It, the player is at a crossroads at the Italian club, and he has ‘attracted interest’ from a number of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham who need to invest in the attacking department. The report further states that the Italian club and ready to sell the player in the summer.
Star striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season. The England international has a contract until the summer of 2024 and Spurs could be under pressure to sell him if he does not sign an extension with them this summer.
Spurs will have to replace Kane adequately and Vlahovic could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition.
The 23-year-old was a top-class striker during his time at Fiorentina, but the move to Juventus has clearly not worked out for him. Leaving the Italian club at the end of the season could be ideal for both parties. A move to the Premier League could give him the fresh start he needs right now.
Vlahović has the attributes to succeed in English football and he could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Tottenham. Regular football at the North London club could help him regain his form and confidence next season.
Meanwhile, Juventus paid around £62.8 million to sign the striker and it will be interesting to see if they are prepared to sell him for a reasonable fee in the summer.
