RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda has been linked with a move away from the German club and Premier League clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on him.
A report from the Mirror claims that Manchester United have identified him as a top January target after scouting him extensively.
The Belgian striker has been in fine form since joining the German club and he has scored 14 goals in 21 games. Openda joined RB Leipzig for a fee of £35 million from Lens last summer and Manchester United have been scouting him extensively.
His performances have been outstanding for the German club and it is no surprise that the English clubs are keen on signing him. Apparently, Tottenham Hotspur have been watching the player as well and they could look to bring him in as a replacement for Richarlison.
The Brazilian has been quite underwhelming since his £60 million transfer from Everton in 2022. Openda could prove to be an upgrade on him and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done.
Manchester United need to bring in an alternative to Rasmus Hojlund as well and the 23-year-old would be a superb addition for both clubs.
Apparently, the German club value him at £75 million and it remains to be seen which of the two English clubs is prepared to pay up. Signing him in January will be quite difficult and both clubs will have to come up with a lucrative proposal in order to convince the Germans.
