Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keeping tabs on the Fenerbahce midfielder Sebastian Szymanski.
According to a report from Fanatik, the north London club are ‘watching’ the midfielder closely and they could make a move for him at the end of the season. They will face competition from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen as well.
The 24-year-old has been in splendid form this year, scoring 12 goals across all competitions and picking up 14 assists along the way.
He is capable of operating as the number ten as well as a right-sided winger. He will add creativity, goals and technicality in the final third. Spurs could certainly use a versatile player like him in the attack.
They need more depth in the side if they want to compete for major trophies next season.
Szymanski has proven himself in Turkish football and he will look to take the next step in his career now. A move to the Premier League would be an exciting opportunity for him and he will look to prove himself in England if the opportunity presents itself.
He has the technical attributes to adapt to the Premier League and improve Spurs going forward.
Spurs have employed a free-flowing attacking approach under Ange Postecoglou and the Polish midfielder seems like the ideal fit for them in theory.
He has a contract with Fenerbahce until 2027 and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can thrash out an agreement in the summer. Spurs will be hoping to secure his services for a reasonable fee.
