Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal at the end of the season.
The 21-year-old attacker has done quite well for the Spanish club and his performances have got the attention of the north London giants.
A report from Fichajes claims that Premier League clubs Bournemouth and Aston Villa are keeping tabs on him as well.
Apparently, the 21-year-old has ‘aroused the interest’ of all three clubs with his performances this season. Jackson has eight goals and three assists across all competitions and he could prove to be a solid, long-term acquisition for Tottenham.
The north London giants need to add more goals and flair to their attack and the 21-year-old would be a superb acquisition.
Players like Richarlison, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski have not been able to hit top form this season and Tottenham need more options at their disposal. They signed Arnaut Danjuma on loan during the January window but the player is set to return to his parent club in the summer. Jackson could be the ideal alternative in the summer.
The opportunity to play for a big Premier League club will be an attractive option for the youngster and the 21-year-old is likely to be tempted if Tottenham come calling with a concrete proposal.
The north London giants have the finances to tempt Villarreal into selling their prized prospect and it remains to be seen whether they can beat the competition from clubs like Aston Villa and secure the youngster’s signature.
