Your Predictions vs City

By The Boy -

Any of you still in denial when it comes to acknowledging that modern football is currently residing in a sewer, might want to see what a few Manchester United fans have been up to this morning.

Rio Ferdinand’s wife dies, and David de Gea Tweets his condolences.

In the first 5 responses, were 2 requests for the goalie to sign a new deal.

We play a Manchester City side who’ve lost their last 4 away games, back to back.

Given that City have only lost 7 Premier League games so far this season, it’s this away form collapse that has made the Middle Eastlanders look toothless in the final furlongs of the season.

As City have dithered, Chelsea have lost just 2 league games to date. Curiously enough, to division heavyweights Newcastle United and Tottenham.

The million dollar question is this: Will City’s form continue, and will that of Spurs’ continue too, so City join Arsenal and Chelsea in the ‘scalped by Spurs’ file?

You’d have to a brave man to believe it.

Outside of the two games mentioned in which we were unrecognisably excellent, the rest of the season has been a thoroughly unmemorable experience.

Harry Kane’s head-turning emergence alone has papered over the cracks, but so woeful have the rest of the disparate and disaffected team been, it’s not been an unmitigated joy. If you disagree, then I guess you also think Gareth Bale didn’t prop us up before Kane came along.

The good news, is that the visitors will be minus a host go their household names. Company, Jovetic and Toure are all out.

Nasri, Clichy will be subject to late fitness tests.

For us, Danny Rose could be back, but Bonzo and Davies are obviously both still out of their minds.

Prediction? My prediction is that if you leave any money with a bookmaker on this one, you won’t see it again.

My heart is going for a draw, my head says it might be a nice afternoon to do something totally unrelated to football tomorrow. Explore a local garden centre, perhaps visit a local Abbey or some other historical site of interest.

Anywhere unlikely to have radio or Sky on.

The bookies have us at 11/4 to win. City re 11/10.
