Mauricio Pochettino has warned Barcelona will not give Spurs a free pass.
This is perhaps one of the worst warnings ever issued by anyone.
A better warning might have been, ‘Hey Daniel, are you 100% sure we’re not able to get a deal done for anyone, things could get a bit smelly fighting on 4 fronts with this squad?’
Son Heung-min’s fine opener and Dele Alli’s second-half header secured a routine 2-0 victory at Leicester on Saturday, which lifted them to third in the Premier League.
They now travel to Barcelona for Tuesday’s crunch Champions League Group B match.
Spurs are second, level on seven points with Inter Milan who face PSV, knowing victory would seal a spot in the knockout stages.
Pochettino told PA Sport: “It will be a massive game, they have qualified for the next stage but in the Champions League no-one is going to give a present.
“We need to win and deserve to win. The mentality is going to be 200 per cent to try to win.
“We are going to arrive in the best condition, Barcelona are one of the best teams in Europe.”
Barca are 11/10 to win, Spurs are 2/1 and the draw is 14/5.
One thing is for certain, Tottenham have been unpredictable this season.
The performance that beat Chelsea could have also beaten many other top flight sides. However many other performances have been weirdly dull.
Will Spurs turn it on against Barcelona?
Winning stuff means increased wage bill as well
*Carrabero Cup
Buying players simply leads to an increased wage bill.
Utter madness.
:~} chuuuuuuune.
Yes 5/1 Spurs would have been an attractive bet!

Pretty remote me thinks!
Lesson 1: Man mark Messi out of the game (ouch!)
Lesson 2: Don’t concede soft free kicks outside the penalty area (ouch!)
Lesson 3: Pray Barcelona have an off day
Lesson 4: Anybody’s guess
Surely it’s realistically 2 fronts the League Cup (assuming we conquer Arse) and the
FA Cup?
If we beat Barca he will buy no one, because we beat Barca.
If we beat barca levy must bring some in come January. Well you’d like to think that anyway. Challenging on four fronts.
I haven’t thought about beating Barcelona, I’m just praying inter lose it’s more likely
Effin 2/1 Spurs!!??
The bookies know summin.
The rockets too good.
Espanyol 0 v Barcelona 4

Good Luck!
If we win it will be labelled progression in CL this season.
Without Xavi and Iniesta, Barcelona not quite the great team of old are beatable in their own backyard but if Messi is selected and likely dominating possession for long periods my heart says yes my head says no.
Not sure any homegrown talent will be available to improve our squad in January. Oddly Llorente could be an attractive signing for relegation fodder and could free up a squad space. Not sure anyone would part with any money for NKD though.
If we end up qualifying for the Europa it almost makes sense to sack off the League Cup as it’ll lead to so many games.
