It’s difficult to understand why Poch doesn’t start Eric every game.
Shot accuracy 64.8% this season.
Passing accuracy 81.8%.
Crossing accuracy 62.9%.
The Argentine has also made 75.8% successful recoveries in the opposition’s half.
Against West Ham his dribbling was also string 66.7% of them worked.
Erik’s had his troubles but appears to well and truly overcome them at long last.
What particularly appeals are his concentration levels, invention and desire – oh yes, and he’s also a devil on the ball.

You’re spot on about European football and if you’re competing with a rival who doesn’t have it for points it can make the difference.

We had 2 chances to win the league, blew both by slow starts and no investment in January when we were clearly in the mix. Anyone who thinks that we are going to challenge for the league or cl have got serious problems with their wiring. We will have a fair chance of top 4 with 2 or 3 suitable recruits in Jan and if others take the cup less seriously than us maybe have a go at that as well. Agree lamela looks like he’s where we would like him to be, and thank god Hugo had a night in on Fri night. The fact that we are relying on him in a game against those scum is worrying tho
Is now a good time to discuss the CL /top 4 scenario……over the years theres been debate between fans over winning a cup or achieving 4 top….the main point was over money and what players we can attract if we get CL and then build from there….so, 3-4 years and we don’t buy CL players and the money doesn’t go back into the squad, and my view is it never will, certainly not for the next 5-7 years….so…at what point do we ask the question again…CL or Cup??

The best chance we have of winning the premiership is to fall out of European football altogether. Leicester and cheatski both won the premiership without European football, something a lot of spurs bashers forget to mention.
Unfortunately our best players would leave as well as Poch. So we are basically screwed.
On the bright side, we will have an awesome stadium.
I think enic will blow our best ever chance of silverware. Sorry for the pessimism. I think I’m being realistic.
