Terms Agreed With Player But Levy Being Played At His Own Game

Terms Agreed With Player But Levy Being Played At His Own Game

Spurs are very keen to sign Bournemouth’s Josh King.

At the back end if May, Gladys said: ‘On the way in could well be Josh King. The Bournemouth boy would be a perfect fit. He knows the Premier League and operates as a secondary striker.’

The update here is that the boy has agreed terms, but Bournemouth are demanding the most ferocious sums.

Are Bournemouth bad people? No, they are simply hoisting Levy with his own petard and swimming with the same ‘let’s go crazy’ prices that everyone else is.

Josh Onomah – on a level playing-field – would probably ‘walk into’ very few Premier League starting XIs. Would that stop Levy demanding 拢20million for him? Of course not.

But hey, sit back and enjoy the ride – this window’s gonna be easy – like childbirth.

this is nothing to do with Levy, this is a player who wants to play football looking at his best options. If Lukakoooo leaves Everton and Kane stays at Spurs he is much more likely to play at Everton than he is at Spurs week in week out. Not sure what Levy has to do with that.

    Discussion on SC:

Tottenham have waved away all offers for Vincent Janssen. The club does not want the striker to leave. (Fox Sports)

In other words, he hasn’t scored enough for his stock to rise enough to be considered for sale.

    • ronwol196061 July 3, 2017 at 11:31 am

One thing he will do is not play inflated prices and if Levy goes for something of substance I think he should get an attack minded central midfielder, who can support the defence but create goals.
Its the one area we can make a real difference.
The press is a huge part of our game but we need to create more just moving up the field and a player who can make things happen from the CM position would be key.We have virtually everything else

      • McG 鈿解毥 July 3, 2017 at 11:36 am

That’s why I think it’ll be Meyer & Barkley, both in the final year of their contracts, both good players & prices won’t be stupid. Can have the pair for around 50 mil. I’d have loved us to go for Sandro Ramirez too, would of made for a brilliant window.

        • ronwol196061 July 3, 2017 at 11:42 am

Not sure about Meyer looks more defensive I thought and right now we are covered and while Barkley maybe a Poch type we need more creativity than that I think

We want the top players we have to pay huge wages, 拢150k/拢200k per week. How does that work with our current players? Do they stay motivated or do they demand more? We have the 6th highest income and we currently pay the 6th highest wages. I don’t know the ins and outs of FFP but as I understand it your spending and outgoings can’t exceed your incoming. No, them’s the rules. So what you need is a nice sponsorship deal for the corner flags, say worth 100 million per year. From an airline run by your cousin. That’s what Citeh do. FFP is a joke

      • SpurAndy 馃崚蟺 July 3, 2017 at 10:40 am

So the stadium naming rights might be a game changer? So many questions, so few answers.

        • gloster1861 July 3, 2017 at 10:43 am

Probably. And Citeh don’t even own their stadium. Its a brilliant wheeze whereby their naming rights for the stadium is worth more than double the rent they pay!

          • Freund or Foe July 3, 2017 at 10:45 am

They also classed Mancini`s pay off as “wages”, meaning they had more scope to pay bigger wages to players the following season.

      • Freund or Foe July 3, 2017 at 10:42 am

Citeh`s revenue is massively boosted by this. When our stadium is up and running, the increased matchday revenue and sponsorship should see our revenue increase to close to Pooh, Arse and the Cheats (pending their new stadium). But we`ll still be a fair shout behind Citeh who have massive commercial income. And obvs a long way behind Manure.

        • gloster1861 July 3, 2017 at 10:44 am

Most of that commercial income is phoney.

Leicester will never happen again, and it is about spending big money. Why did chels win premiership ? Because they spend big money on the better players. The prem will be won by a high spending club, hope I am wrong. What i am saying is we need a couple of players who have experience in winning trophies.
They will cost huge money but we need to spend it to sway things our way for once, and actually win something.

Correct. Biggest spenders season just gone Citeh 174mil, Manure 150mil. Season before that Manure top spenders again. Season before that, Chelsea were champs after a net spend of 10mil. It`s not how much you spend, it`s how wisely you spend it. Like not buying Sissoko.

Everton have spent 93,,000,000 already this season, have a very good manager and a board that is ambitious. Let’s hope that Usmanov doesn’t fancy joining the Everton board and investing into them cause things will get more difficult .

How bad would it be if the goons sign lacazette, and marhez, then keep sanchez??? With citeh and chelski no doubt willing to spend untold millions and utd willing to outspend anyone ,I think our rivals could end up being Liverpool and Everton if we don’t get the players poch wants. Only time will tell what happens but if we fuck up, we could end up with our best players and manager waving goodbye to levy, and it won’t matter about playing in a new stadium.
I think this is the most important transfer window in years for us. If levy is brave we could kick on, if not then we’re screwed. Sorry for being a little pessimistic but we are Spurs and we know what it’s like.

    • AccringtonSpurs July 3, 2017 at 9:33 am

      spoken like a true Spur.

Mahrez is a good player, but he didn’t get a look in when we trounced Leicester at the end of the season. He is not a threat to us. Lacazette is a good striker yet can’t get ahead of Giroud in the France team. It might be as significant as Utd signing Ibrahimovic. He’ll score goals – can he do it consistently in 4 competitions? I’d be more worried if Arse signed Mbappe and Lemar – they’ve won stuff, and are world class players. It would secure Arse’s future for the next 5 years.

      • melcyid July 3, 2017 at 11:56 am

whoever signs Mbappe will win the league

  • Camus July 3, 2017 at 8:37 am

The wheels are starting to turn. The Goons are signing Lacazette and Mahrez is ‘close’, apparently. They may be losing Sanchez and flogging Giroud but that seems pretty competitive.

    • SpurAndy 馃崚蟺 July 3, 2017 at 8:44 am

Last throw of the dice for Auntie. Lacazette looks good but unproven in the PL. Losing Sanchez def weakens them even assuming they get Mahrez as well imo.

    38 mil for Dembele
    50 mil for the others

Levy could certainly make the fans happy and donate the stadium to the poor in N17

      Did he escape prison sgain?

    • baz July 3, 2017 at 12:11 am

No but I’m gonna put him on my list.

      • AntSpurs July 3, 2017 at 12:13 am

Help me out Baz, why is this guy funny .

        • baz July 3, 2017 at 12:16 am

          did you not like him?

        • AntSpurs July 3, 2017 at 12:17 am

He’s taking the piss out of the disabled (retards he call them) . I saw a guy taking the poss out of himself at jongleurs in Camden and I never laughed so hard. Because I’m laughing with him and that he doesn’t take himself seriously but this guy has a crowd laughing when he’s being cruel , that’s how I see him.

          • AntSpurs July 3, 2017 at 12:19 am

In thought he was going to turn it around , still watching but it’s really heavy watching waiting to get there. Defeats the object for me anyways. Am I missing something ?

          • baz July 3, 2017 at 12:19 am

He is a little raw, but watch a few of his shows; the guy is a mess.

            • AntSpurs July 3, 2017 at 12:34 am

Calls himself the great white Stanhope. Shit he’s as funny as Raz. No worries Baz but this guy leaves me cold man.

Oh well, wasn’t meant to be.

Check out Pablo when you get the chance Baz, he might have been off the circuit for a while but he is really good.

                  • baz July 3, 2017 at 12:51 am

will do when I get chance. If it’s funny it’s funny no matter how long ago it was made. Sometime the older the better,

                    • AntSpurs July 3, 2017 at 12:59 am

Yeah Peter Sellers is one of the best for me as Prior. Used to love Jack Dee, Paul Whitehouse, Hale and Pace , Steve Coogan, Ali G and Lee Evans as a kid, Now I go for Francisco, Gilbert, Brydon, shit there’s so many.

                    • baz July 3, 2017 at 1:05 am

Peter Sellers only has to look at the camera and you are in stitches. Do you know of Bill Burr?

              • caveman July 3, 2017 at 12:53 am

Evening Baz, can you explain that ending for me please. I know the film is twisted but why would he continue a relationship with his daughter? Is he going to end their physical relationship as a partner and continue as a father. That’s the part of the film that ruined it for me

        • AntSpurs July 2, 2017 at 11:15 pm

Not realistic unless I missed something.

        • baz July 2, 2017 at 11:17 pm

He wanted to make up for the time when he wasn’t in her childhood. Stepping up to the plate; I beleive they call it that on Jeremy Kyle.

          • AntSpurs July 2, 2017 at 11:27 pm

But how? He allowed his tongue to be cut off so she wouldn’t know. The end shows him continuing a relationship. How? He’s her partner as she knows.

            • baz July 2, 2017 at 11:33 pm

Why would you want to ruin a happy ending???
Anyhow, What do you think of Doug Stanhope?

              • AntSpurs July 2, 2017 at 11:38 pm

I love a happy ending as much as the next man but jeez Baz thats a horrific ending. He has to dump her or be her father. Really enjoyed it up until that cause it makes no sense. Haven’t heard of this one. Highly recommended ?

                • baz July 2, 2017 at 11:41 pm

Dough Stanhope is a standup comedian, very funny
