Format Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend is currently a free agent after his contract with Everton expired over the summer.
The 32-year-old winger is yet to find a new club and he had a trial with Burnley earlier. However, the newly promoted Premier League club decided not to offer him a contract and the player is now training with Tottenham in a bid to keep up his fitness levels so that he can find the new club as per Daily Mail.
The 32-year-old has been a reliable performer in the Premier League with a number of clubs and he will be hoping to play in the top flight this season. It remains to be seen whether any club is willing to offer him a short-term deal.
Townsend has plenty of Premier League experience and he could prove to be a useful option on a free transfer. His former club Tottenham Hotspur are helping him out with regards to training and fitness.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up eventually.
Spurs have a number of quality attackers at their disposal and they will not be able to accommodate the 32-year-old in their squad. A return to his former club is definitely not on the cards for Townsend.
The 32-year-old still has a lot to offer at the highest level and he could be a useful squad player for most mid-table clubs.
Alternatively, he could be an important player for Championship clubs as well and it will be interesting to see if any club comes forward with a concrete proposal in the coming weeks.
