No 4231 Today Please, Mister

By The Boy -

Liverpool away and whilst trying to construct an attacking XI the recurring thought is that the better the starting team is, the worse the bench becomes.

For a side second in the table with endlessly vocal aspirations to be perceived as a credible force, this is frankly embarrassing.

I’ve implemented a back 3 purely to highlight how Poch could potentially screw up.

The lack of choice – genuine choice – that the gaffer has is pretty chilling.

Beyond this XI there’s pretty much fresh air. So the idea of persisting with the least inspiring, most resource draining formation makes no sense at all.

Spurs have always been a side that has always thrived on scoring lots of goals.

You can stare at your feet and mumble something or other about sustainable business models all you want, but that’s because you’re fundamentally at odds with the club’s DNA. We have a fighting cockerel atop a football as our motif, not a ponderous platypus or a pensive looking peacock.

To dare is to do or some such other branding slogan on an officially licensed 55% polyester duvet set. I forget.

Does Poch have any ‘shock and awe’ in his proverbial locker?
