Loic Bade was left perplexed by enquiries regarding a possible transfer to Tottenham.
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to make major moves in the upcoming summer transfer window in order to bolster their squad. They are expected to push for another centre-back and have been linked with Sevilla’s Loic Bade.
The 24-year-old joined the Spanish club on a short loan during the winter of 2023. He had an impressive stint at the club and on the back of it, the move was made permanent last summer. Bade has gone from strength to strength since joining Sevilla and his performances have resulted in a lot of interest.
Tottenham are one of the clubs that have been linked with the 24-year-old on multiple occasions. The North London club have had an impressive first season under Ange Postecoglou and now looking at ways to further improve their squad.
Despite having signed multiple defenders over the past two windows, Spurs are expected to once again push for centre-back to ensure they have enough depth to compete in all competitions and Bade is one of the names on their radar.
Loic Bade happy at Sevilla
The French defender was bemused as claims of a move to Spurs were put to him by a local journalist during a commercial event in Spain. The Sevilla centre-back was surprised to be linked with the North London club. He made it clear that he is quite happy at the Spanish club.
Bade said via Marca: “I’m comfortable, I’m working well, I’m trying to progress… I’m at Sevilla, I don’t know why you’re talking about Tottenham.”
This wasn’t the first time the 24-year-old asked about being linked with Sevilla. He was asked about the chance of joining Spurs a few months back and he did seem pleased to be linked with the North London club back then. But, since he is happy in Spain, it is fair to assume that he is unlikely to force a move from the La Liga side.
