Some degree of chaos was caused this week, in respect of Christian Eriksen’s health and wellbeing.

Dependent upon which online language translation app was used, the Dane’s stomach condition was described as being anywhere from ‘chronic’ to being related to his spinal cord.

The old phrase – the camera doesn’t lie stands true – thankfully.

This Spurs fan bumped into Christian whilst shopping yesterday, who commented on the injury, “He wouldn’t give much away but I gave his tummy a rub and it felt pretty solid to me.”

Undoubtedly good news, but there’s obviously a big difference between being able to wander around a department store, and play Premier League football.

At least this snap should dispell any mental images of the 26 year old being monitored in a private intensive care unit.

Eriksen’s 4 year deal at Tottenham runs out in 2020 and this perhaps improving Christian’s £75,0000 a week salary will be the next hurdle.

Quite how all our major players have been allowed to watch their contracts run down is anyone’s guess – oh, hang on…
