Ever Get The Feeling You’ve Been Cheated?

By The Boy -

The outpouring of plaudits for the midget gem has begun in earnest. But be warned, pace yourselves. He’s not actually out the door until the 9th of February, which barring a miracle, could mean his last Premier League home game for Spurs, could in theory be versus Everton, on the 9th of March.

Of course, this deal wouldn’t be complete without the club striking up another utterly futile “relationship” with the buyer. In fairness to THFC, on this occasion, they’ve taken every measure to avoid another humiliation and simply demanded that FC Toronto flog some Spurs merchandise for them.

The killer question of course is “so who’s replacing him?”

My guess is “someone on the existing payroll.”

Tim is a big yoof fan and Harry Kane could well be nudged up the pecking order and without much considered thought from lots of fans, considered thought that might trigger emotions like …anger …despair.

After all, he fabulously kicked the ball into row Z the other week. This sort of thing really counts with the common man. like Bentaleb having a forgettable game, can be glossed over with a very angry stamp. If you’re daft.

The fact that we’re left with Soldado, a man rapidly earning the title of “World’s Most Expensive Penalty Specialist” and Ade, a player who is currently resurgent, but for how long this time?

A club with our aspirations (slowly deteriorating into pretensions) needs to stop fannying about, charging its fans top dollar for a micro managed, Mickey Mouse product.

We need a qualified, of the shelf ready to go, left back. Quit with the cul de sac notion of Benny. He’s not only away with the fairies, he’s been rubbish at QPR.

Forget Rose. Not because of the foul up at the Emptycrates, but because he’s never been the answer. One crazy goal – some considerable ago – and the odd not bad game is all we’ve had. As per Kaboul, and now Bentaleb, he has been romanticised beyond belief.

Will Levy & Co. step up to the plate and actually make the necessary buys? Don’t hold your breath. The chaos they have caused has to the perfect device to shroud yet more inactivity. Expect the Chairman’s end of season to use lots of meaningless business speak such as “challenges” and “moving forward.”
