It’s too close to call.

What’s more depressing, a banal Spurs performance or banal Spurs fans  e x p l a i n i n g  the loss to us. When you lose 2-1 and the other team scores all 3 goals, trust me, there really is no need for an instruction manual.

Contrasting this performance with the one at St James’ Park only really tells us that Newcastle are probably going to be in a relegation scrap before Christmas.

I can cope with getting beaten by a better side, what I can’t cope with is Spurs phoning it in.

Possession stats couldn’t be more utterly irrelevant than when you lose. If you can’t grasp that, then you are a detached, patronising and completely unconvincing moron.

This was a game devoid positives.

Hugo was channelling his inner Mr Bean. Eric Dier has mastered being confused. Wanyama looked like he had severe jet lag.

Dembele was apparently our MOTM and yet no sane person would have scored him more than 6 out of 10. If you thought Eriksen didn’t achieve much, you obviously weren’t watching Dele Alli.

Poch needs to have a major rethink about this squad from a tactical perspective.

Minus Rose and Walker Spurs are painfully narrow.

Wanyama being fielded when palpably out of condition was embarrassing. Having Sissoko as your impact sub is like being poorly and having Harold Shipman as your GP.

Aurier needs to happen, Spurs need more guts and fewer pansies in the squad.

We’re also crying out for a Sanchez type presence too.

Yesterday, Spurs proved that they are impotent and in need of some weapons grade viagra, not some placebo possession stat pills.
