Tottenham are reportedly looking to add to their attacking unit in January and they have identified Donyell Malen as a potential target.
The 23-year-old Borussia Dortmund attacker has been linked up as an option following the injury to Richarlison. The 25-year-old has picked up an injury whilst on World Cup duty with Brazil.
According to journalist Rudy Galetti (h/t Standard), the Dutch forward is on Spurs’ radar and it remains to be seen whether they can agree on a deal with the German club for him.
Malen has not been at his best this season and he has one goal and three assists to his name across all competitions. In all honesty, the Dutchman would be an underwhelming addition to Antonio Conte’s attack if they manage to sign him.

Spurs could certainly use another striker to share the goalscoring burden alongside Harry Kane but they should aim for someone better than Malen.
Also, signing him in January could be difficult because Dortmund are lacking in depth in their attack. Youssoufa Moukoko will be out of contract in the summer and the German youngster has been linked with a move away in January. Dortmund cannot afford to sell both players in one window. They are likely to prioritize the sale of Moukoko given his contract situation.
Spurs will have other options in the market and they could look to move for players like Memphis Depay or Marcus Thuram. Both players have been linked with January moves to the London club and they would be better additions to the Spurs attack in theory.
