‘Tired’ Tottenham player has chosen to ‘activate his departure’, wants to join La Liga club

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil is set to leave the club permanently at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old had opportunities to leave Tottenham at the start of the season, but he decided to continue at the North London club and fight for his place. However, things have not gone according to plan and he has failed to win the trust of Ange Postecoglou.

Gil has started just twice in the league this season and he needs to move on for his own benefit. He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and a report from Estadio Deportivo claims that the winger has chosen to ‘activate his departure’ from Tottenham in the summer.

The report also mentions that he will prioritise a move to Sevilla in the summer. It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can secure an agreement soon. The winger could leave for a fee of around €7 to €8 million.

Gil was regarded as a prodigious young talent before he moved to Tottenham and signing him for €7 to €8 million would represent an excellent bargain. He is still only 23 and he will have plenty of time to get his career back on track and fulfil his potential with regular football.

The winger does not want to go out on loan again, and he is ‘tired’ of the uncertainty surrounding his future. He is prepared to put an end to his misery at Tottenham and leave the club permanently.
