Tottenham Hotspur have now joined the race to sign Youssoufa Moukoko from Borussia Dortmund.
The 17-year-old forward has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in recent months. 90Min claims that Liverpool are keen on the player as well apart from Spurs who sent scouts to watch him in action on Friday.
Moukoko has been an important first-team member for Dortmund this season and he has the attributes to develop into a top-class player in the future.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland labelled him as the biggest talent in the world during his time at the German club.
“I think he’s the biggest talent in the world right now. 16 years and one day, that’s quite amazing. He has a big career ahead of him.”
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can beat their Premier League rivals Liverpool and sign the 17-year-old in the coming months. Moukoko will be a free agent in the summer and therefore Dortmund could be under pressure to cash in on the player in January.
Spurs would be able to snap him up for a reasonable price because of his contract situation and the move could prove to be a major bargain in the long run.
As for Moukoko, a move to the Premier League would be a step up in his career and he will improve under a world-class manager like Antonio Conte.
The 17-year-old centre-forward has six goals and six assists across all competitions this season and he could partner Harry Kane in the attack. If Kane ends up leaving in future, Moukoko would be the ideal long term replacement for the England international.
