Another Premier League season is upon us, and as ever, there’s never a dull moment. One excellent example of how lively England’s top division can be is the news that Ange Postecoglou has been appointed as Nottingham Forest’s new head coach.
The Aussie will be replacing Nuno Espírito Santo, who was sacked back in September 2025, after a strained relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis and a 3-0 loss to West Ham.
Postecoglou, who has been out of work since June 2025 after leading Tottenham to Europa League glory but a 17th-place Premier League finish, signed a contract until June 2027. He is expected to take charge for Forest’s match against Arsenal on September 13, 2025.
Ange’s appointment follows informal talks with Marinakis since August, with sources highlighting his attacking, possession-based style as a good fit for Forest’s talented squad, including players like Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White.
Meanwhile, at Spurs, it’s all about the arrival of Thomas Frank, who replaced Ange at Spurs. Tottenham suffered a rollercoaster time of it under Ange and after sacking endless managers, it was finally time for Daniel Levy to suffer the same fate.
Spurs finished 17th last term, but the winning of the Europa League trophy papered over many of the heaving cracks at the club, and fans remain upbeat for the Lilywhite’s future. Securing hotspur tickets remains challenging, but as you will find, there are simpler ways to secure the best seats for the top matches.
Spurs snapped up Xavi Simons in the summer and fans will be incredibly keen to see what the boy can do for Spurs.
The 22-year-old Dutch attacking midfielder, was transferred to Tottenham Hotspur from RB Leipzig in late August 2025 for a fee of €60 million (approximately £51.8 million). He signed a five-year contract with an option for two additional years. The former Bundesliga star will be filling a key creative role in the squad following injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, as well as Tottenham’s failed pursuits of Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze.
Simons is widely regarded as a grounded and ambitious young talent whose personality blends quiet introspection with intense on-pitch determination. Off the field, he comes across as humble, disciplined, and low-key—traits often attributed to his strong family influence, particularly his mother Peggy, who emphasized long-term growth over early fame despite his Nike deal at age 13 and millions of Instagram followers as a teenager.
Said to transform into a “guy with a lot of character” on the pitch—passionate, obsessive, and unafraid to take responsibility, often arriving in the box with killer timing or unleashing powerful shots from distance. His mentality stands out: he never took early hype for granted, returned to basics at PSV after stints at Barcelona and PSG, and consistently works to improve weaknesses, as seen in his recent interview where Tottenham’s Thomas Frank’s honest feedback on his flaws sealed the deal for him
A huge season awaits.
