Yes, it’s powerful stuff, isn’t it? And, as you say, refreshing to see a journalist putting Levy under the microscope for a change. I sometimes wonder if Lewis issues mafia like threats against the press (strange things have happened in Patagonia, after all) given the inexplicable free pass they give Danny boy.

He’d deserve every bit he gets and it’s long overdue, too

Some clever stuff here about reflex managerial hires and I like the last bit, too.

Couldn’t we just tell him that he gets the payoff once we’ve cleared the debt! The debt that he, of course, created! He surely wouldn’t live long enough to get a penny!

This summer is the most important for the club and especially Levy, he has to get everything right to have a future in his position. The new appointment of manager and the possible sale of their number one asset are the biggest decisions he will ever make .

Just on the disconnect I take a look at various blogs and YouTube channels and some of the stuff I hear is a bit worrying, a bit scary, I know it’s guys venting and letting of steam.

If the ground was reopened they could get the anger out there. But the level of vitriol all aimed at one place gives me pause. I have never seen anything like this before connected to Spurs.

Yet we apparently wanted Botch, whom lost this league with a 3 billion pound squad including Mbappe and Neymar

Because the French league isn’t remotely comparable to our league I should imagine. Would be a huge risk.

Why is no-one mentioning Christophe Galtier? Beats PSG to the French league and had his team playing good football. He is without a club now. He can bring Sven Botman with him as well. Not that it is going to happen…. I am half expecting Ted Lasso to be announced as our next manager/coach…

Wow – there some great quotes here.. for example…
Levy is the common denominator here, the common signature at the bottom of two decades of eclectic, reflex managerial hires. Mourinho’s confrontational pragmatism was a reaction to the inclusive idealism of Pochettino, which was a reaction to the British bluntness of Tim Sherwood, which was a reaction to the gnomic intellectualism of André Villas-Boas, which was a reaction to the homespun wisdom of Harry Redknapp, which was a reaction to the continental technocracy of Juande Ramos, and so on. Even the current farce has its own precedent from 2003-04, when the promised “thorough search” for Glenn Hoddle’s replacement – with names such as Vicente del Bosque, Klaus Toppmöller and Martin O’Neill all mooted – ended in the caretaker manager, David Pleat, remaining in charge for nine months.

and…
Levy, by contrast, operates a small circle of loyal nodding dogs, with an absentee owner in Joe Lewis who may as well be propped up by pillows and sticks.
and…
This much is evident from the club’s Amazon documentary, in which the normally reclusive Levy is clearly at pains to present himself as some superior footballing intellect, only to come across as the bloke who sits next to you on a plane and tells you about how he won the Champions League with Bolton on Football Manager.

Yes I am really hoping this is Levys Waterloo. Levy has completely lost the trust of the fans and the last 2 months have been a PR disaster for the ‘brand’. In no other business would such a high ranking executive be allowed to continue and this surely must be going through ENICs minds.

Executive level negligence can only last so long before the business decides its beyond repair. Time for Levy to step aside and let’s see who the next ENIC grunt is

It has been a long time coming but as I have said recently the jig is up for Levy. There is no going back to the shadows and another 5-year jam tomorrow project. The disconnect between the supporters and the owners has never been greater. I can see no way back for Levy and ENIC.

Wow what a terrific summary and may I say utterly refreshing to finally see a journalist putting levy under the microscope. Cheers for sharing!
