We’ve had to deal with plenty of speculation over Harry Kane in recent years with reported question marks hanging over his future at Tottenham.
The 26-year-old has been sensational for us, leading our charge year in and year out to a point where he has now bagged 181 goals in 278 appearances.
With the influence that he has on and off the pitch, it’s absolutely clear that we want him to stay, and that these exit rumours disappear as quickly as possible.
However, according to The Telegraph, our talismanic captain could consider his future in the summer, particularly if we fail to qualify for the Champions League and endless up trophy-less again this season.
It’s added that both Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy will do their part to convince him to stay, while a valuation of £150m has been touted if he were to leave.
The sooner these rumours are put to bed the better, as ultimately heading into the summer transfer window, we want the focus to be on bringing in players who can improve the squad.
Mourinho will want to stamp his mark on the squad too, and so he’d undoubtedly prefer to do that by looking at targets who can add to what he already has rather than spending time trying to fill voids left behind by fundamental individuals.
Kane remains our leader and one of the top forwards in Europe, and so with that in mind, it’s hoped that we don’t have to deal with similar reports to the one above all summer long if things don’t go to plan in the coming weeks.
