Report: 35-year-old who used to be a Tottenham fan could end up replacing Conte

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur looking to bring in a long-term replacement for manager Antonio Conte after relieving him of his duties earlier this season.

The London club have been linked with a number of managers in recent months, and it appears that Julian Nagelsmann is one of the choices to replace Conte.

According to the Times, Tottenham are keeping tabs on the Feyenoord manager Arne Slot as well. Along with him, Nagelsmann remains a top target for them.

The 35-year-old German manager is currently out of a job after he was sacked by Bayern Munich.

He has proven his quality in Europe with RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich over the years, and he could prove to be a quality acquisition.

The talented young manager could be the ideal candidate to rebuild the Tottenham squad and turn them into title contenders over the next few seasons.

His arrival will also bring about a much-needed change in Tottenham’s style of play.

Antonio Conte’s cautious approach has been criticised over the last few months and Nagelsmann could introduce a high-intensity attacking style at the club.

Tottenham have a number of quality attackers at their disposal who are well-suited to Nagelsmann’s style of play, and the managerial appointment could prove to be a match made in heaven.

There have been reports that Nagelsmann used to be a Tottenham fan as a child and he used to own a Tottenham shirt as well. It will be interesting to see if his affinity towards the club helps the North London giants secure his services at the end of the season.
