Insigne is too old and seems to always shoot. One went in against Belgium but I’ve seen about 15 go anywhere but in the net. Barella wouldn’t be a bad Italian if it has to be an Italian now.
I’ve posted a list before, but any average 15y old kid with an xbox can identify talent. Or just see who Soton, Leicester, Dortmund, Ajax, Leipsig etc are targeting them and gazump them for a few quid more. Instead, we identify targets that the real money teams are after and try to see if they’ll give up millions at City or Barca to play at Spurs because the lodge is nice. It’s ludicrous, and we all know this nonsense starts at the top.
I think this first transfer window will tell us how serious we really are. I still think our delusional chairman will refuse to pay market price and dig his heels in. Hope I’m wrong but leopards and spots!
Gedson would have been our club record signing over 53million if we wanted him.. Steve Hitchen was the problem mate. Now we have Fab as sporting director so expect better scouting from now.

Another good video. You’re probably right about the ‘age’ of players H. But still I would happily welcome the likes of Pjanic and Insigne. These are the standard of quality we need. Also if we have any chance of keeping Kane then buying top players, rapidly improving the squad is the only way… I wonder how many of Maureens previous winning players also claimed they were undertrained. I wager none. Maureen was fined for giving Ndombele extra fitness training in a public park in lockdown. Embarrassing shameful excuse.

You sign players for their adaptability and robotic like nature to work within several systems.
I think we’ve missed the very first point in scouting and suitability.
Who on earth looked at Sanchez and decided his timing, reading of a flight of a ball, and positional sense was Prem Standard?.
What on earth was Gedson? Who thought Ndombele was a 90 minute player?
Fitness is paramount and is a given to industry norm in my book, but let’s get the bloody right size shoes on the right size feet before we even attempt to work them.
If they don’t fit the strategy then they don’t get signed.
We are like a 10 year old kid with its pocket money each summer, we buy any old sh*t fit or not.
