Managerial target outlines two conditions before taking Tottenham job

By Saikat -

Julian Nagelsmann has been linked with a move to Tottenham in recent weeks.

The 35-year-old manager is currently out of the job after he was sacked by Bayern Munich following a series of poor results.

It seems that Tottenham want him to replace Antonio Conte in the long run and the German is open to taking over at the North London club.

However, a report from the Telegraph claims that Nagelsmann has two conditions before he takes over at the Premier League club. Apparently, the German manager wants complete control of the wage bill and the players he will be able to bring in to complete the rebuild at Tottenham.

The report states: “Julian Nagelsmann, who would be Tottenham’s first choice, has been linked with the club again since he dropped out of the running for the Chelsea vacancy. But it is believed Nagelsmann would want cast-iron assurances over the size of the wage bill and quality of players he would be able to bring to Spurs as part of a squad rebuild.”

It will be interesting to see if Daniel Levy is willing to accept his conditions and appoint him as the club’s next manager.

Cristian Stellini was put in charge of the first team after Conte’s departure but he has been sacked following the disappointing defeat against Newcastle. Ryan Mason is currently the interim manager of the club.

Nagelsmann has proven his quality in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich. The 35-year-old is highly regarded in European football, and he could be the ideal manager for Tottenham.

His attacking approach could be an instant hit at the North London club. Antonio Conte’s cautious approach was heavily criticised towards the end of his tenure and the Spurs fans will certainly enjoy Nagelsmann’s attacking style of play.

The underperforming attackers at the club could also benefit from playing under him.
