Our league position was artificially high because of the clinical striking of HK and Son. Once that fails, we have nothing in the locker, no midfielders to take up the slack. Dele and CE are gone, Lamela is a part timer, and Lo Celso, Ndombele, Lucas, Bale and Bergwjn have scored 4 goals between them. Heaven help us if HK get his Christmas injury again.
LC – Given that Aurier is accustomed to such recklessness why negligent?? He is one of the players who should be offloaded.
Compare Aurier to Andy Robertson who is a super full back both defensively and offensively via his delicious inviting crosses!!

Have just listened to JM post match conference perhaps he was watching a different match as I have to say pretty disingenuous for Jose to say that the Foxes were not the superior side!
However, I have been pleasantly surprised by his demeanor and the winning is always good and on that basis he was doing what it says on his tin. I take zero pleasure in my team losing which is why, if anyone had read my posts properly I was fully on board with Jose while e was winning, for the greater good winning brings.
While he’s winning all the time Jose has a purpose, once that stops you wonder what’s left…
As very bad day at the office as not at the aces today credit the Foxes for a merited well deserved victory. We were awful truly awful.
No where near good enough. Too many players off colour including Kane and Son. You know with Son early on if he was on his game and he wan not on it from the word go. Not even mentioned Aurier’s predictable madness yet. For what he contributes Bale we might as well terminate Bale’s loan spell now. Once our Plan A misfired we had no Plan B. Now that any realistic title talk has gone I enjoyed it whist it lasted!! Assuming we beat Stoke City then if we are to win any trophy this season then realistically IMO our only chance is the Carabeo Cup. That said I can see us once again ending the season empty handed.
I thought Ndombele was going to limp off in the first minute when he tweaked his ankle. He does not seem to be up for the physicality of the EPL. We have missed Lamela’s energy in the midfield. Lo Celso does try to put himself about but I am not sure that is his natural game, Both he and Lamela are very one-footed and as a result, seem to tackle leading with their left foot every time and conceding too many free-kicks. Lo Celso is a ball carrier that needs to be played in that way. Son is chasing shadows upfront and Kane has dropped deep leaving him isolated.

Following such a lacklustre and incoherent performance today, I would say it’s time to scrap the drab system Mourinho is so intent on using and start again with a blank piece of paper and a pencil.
Gone is the so called first eleven many subscribe to, he needs to re-evaluate the squad and include players he has tended to ignore such as Dele. We seem to have come off the rails after the Liverpool result, and despite previous results, it’s never been convincing, what was so evident was the lack of penetration and ideas in the final third, players did not know how to play today, that is a worry. Will the players continue to believe in this suffocating system no matter who the opponent is will be the question, so Mourinho has a lot of work to do in keeping them on his side imo .

Jose once again stating that we were the better team and in control, most of the match with the penalty described as a mistake and the other goal an own goal. What he failed to add is that we were never at the races in this game from the kick-off. Having dropped all the points at Anfield this was a match screaming for us to fly out the blocks from the start and put in a good performance and take the three points. There is no excuse for that showing. We lacked desire, energy, and a winning mentality. Why is that? Primarily because we have about six top-class players and the rest are bang average. Sometimes they play above their level but they cannot sustain that level and that is not a winning team or an honours chasing team. As for Bale? He now looks to me to have lost interest. He just seems to saunter about lost out wide on the right. Hardly ever gets a pass from his teammates. Jose needs to give him a run out in the first team and work out a way he, Kane, and Son can play together. Another problem is we have no transitional midfield and are getting overrun and overwhelmed in every match. So many spaces all over the place that our players are just chasing shadows as they were against Liverpool on Wednesday. That is not the definition of being in control Jose

2-0 down with 25 to go, and we have to bring on Winks
Liverpool 4-0 up with 30 to go, and they bring on Salah!
ManU routing Leeds, we’re out of the top 4..
At least Lo Celso tries and puts himself about, What does Ndombele actually do that Lamela doesn’t? Bale – never thought he would cut it; he has caught the sideways bug. Why would you get the ball on the wing near their penalty area and go on a dribble infield into the centre circle with a Leicester defender tracking you, and then pass it back to Toby – when you are 2-0 down??? Don’t appear bothered really.
None honestly, a woefully dispiriting performance. Inexplicably bad, given what was at stake.

Frankly our worst EPL performance of the season. Disorganised, dispirited, lifeless, turgid, football. Very hard to understand why, in what was a must win game. As poor as the first half was, at least we looked sound at the back and in the last 10 minutes were finally showing some signs of life, until a highly undesirable return of the old Serge Aurier gave away a boneheaded penalty.
Even so, it was just a one goal deficit, surely a spirited second half fightback was in order? Unfortunately not, in fact in many ways the second half was worse. Much more open at the back, but despite the attacking options, still shapeless, laboured and toothless up front. A horrendous end to horrible week, we need to turn this around now, starting in the League Cup on Wednesday.
Well I thought he was one of the only players pushing forward in the last 20 minutes trying to make something happen. Agreed he is rather clumsy but he’s a trier. Look at Winks and Bale, utter waste of space, just pass and run sideways even when we are 2-0 down.
The penalty give away was neglience that should not be happening for a team that pretends to aspire to win. A tragic case of self exploding predictabililty. Not good enough.

Whats Funny is this. I felt worse last Sunday after the Palace Fiasco. Today is just a return to being ourselves, back to normal.
We have no midfield and clearly Maureen doesn’t trust his players enough to let them go out and dominate games. He’s past his sell by date.

Dier, Aurier, Sissoko, Moura, Davies, and Winks, have all got to go. They will never be apart of a winning team. Lo Celso and Ndombele appear to cancel each other out. Still not convinced about either. I think Bale has now switched off as he has realised the players in the squad are not good enough to carry him. He is never going to start hustling all over the pitch at this stage in his career. All the problems came home to roost today and this performance makes me feel the way I did when we lost our first match to Everton. Our home stadium feels far from being daunting for other teams who play there.

This was very painful to watch and knowing Mourinho, several players will be told in no uncertain terms just how bad they were today.
Unacceptable – and it’s going to be “same old Tottenham buckling whenever the going gets tough”. If we were ever serious about the title, this was a must-win, much like the next few games until the Liverpool home game.
Now instead of a title showdown I’m looking forward to what José will do during the transfer window. On Wednesday, I thought Aurier finally “came of age”, but some things never go away, do they.

I thought Jose was supposed to get rid of the Spursy tag this season? Pi55 poor performance, no bite. If he can’t get us playing decent attacking football at least grid out results. A dreadful penalty to give away and a lucky deflection meant it wasn’t a nil niller…which would’ve also been an abysmal result given what was to play for. We didn’t score, it reminded me of the CL final which is like a bad acid flashback!
You’ve been desperate to knock Mourinho from day 1 so as H says you are just throwing stones. The idea that Brendan bloody Rodgers would do a better job is for the birds
I thought it was not great but ok until the penalty (I don’t remember them having a shot in the first 45). The second half has been an absolute shambles – how are so many forwards off it at the same time?
No, and I’d always clung to the fact Jose keeps us competitive to the final whistle – but this time we’ve gone down by two clear goals and it could have been more.
Top 4 and a cup would be acceptable this year… looking less certain than it did a week ago though

HH is a loser on his own Blog? how cute.
Listen to you p!$$ weak fkrs. G’on, run away, the going may get tough
I agree. I was being ironic as JM was deriding possession stats v Liverpool
Surely used to it by now it’s called the Spursy way!!
if anyone had read my posts properly I was fully on board with Jose while e was winning
This is essentially untrue.
They had 17 shots 4 on target
We had 8 shots 3 on target.
No positives at all.
Agreed.
We had more possession!
Whilst I fully concur with your sentiments Bale hasn’t switched off.
Simply put he ain’t the player he was 7 years ago!!

If only we could play !
If only we could play like Leicester.
We were rubbish can it get any worse
If only we could play like Liverpool!

6th here we come … yahhh
and… Stoke
now
Jose has to fess up – we were by far the worst team.
I’m ow worried about Fulham….
Commentator: “This is Dier”
Oh irony.
I can see his beaming gnashers from my couch in Dublin
I think we may well get fireworks
Rodgers is wearing an Aquanaut on a leather strap. Speaks volumes.
You’d wonder why we bothered bringing Vinicius in
Hopefully we don’t get “im berry proud” like the other loser…
No much, would be my best guess.
Hopfully the Moura vs Ajax toss can subside a little now
thats was for Mike
Need a goal but we have no 2nd striker……ohh hang on!
Hopefully that can be done.
Back to the future Jose didn’t last too long did it…
Could do with an ‘old’ striker like Vardy…
Well, at least the ‘title talk’ will be over. No more of that absurd kind of rubbish putting the pressure…
Doesn’t suit Jose’s approach, yes hard to comprehend.
Dier is dreadful, again
I thought it was not great but ok until the penalty (I don’t remember them having a shot in the first 45). The second half has been an absolute shambles – how are so many forwards off it at the same time?
I was so for it ,pity bale himself is not.
Hope levy got some shirt money.
No, and I’d always clung to the fact Jose keeps us competitive to the final whistle – but this time we’ve gone down by two clear goals and it could have been more.
this
thats all we have so the counter works…when they are off form the system is screwed..
Levy lost his mind. A million quid a month going out the door during a pandemic.
I think the last three games prove that that is complete cobblers. It isn’t 2010…
Teams are sussing us out ,stop kane in the middle for a start.
Kane and sonny have earned us so many points.
A shambolic waste of money.
None.
Everyone has played poor even Reggie and Hjobjerg.
Dier has shown some fight but I’m really struggling to think of anything else positive to say about any player.
2 nil down and hes barely touched the ball
Levy
Levy can save money by sending Bale back in Jan, thats a positive…
Man City?
Sorry I forgot, Rodgers isn’t currently unemployed and the negotiations to take him away from Leicester would be impossible for Levi to comprehend.
Man u had a spassy fit and arsenal are no longer a big team.
Getting beaten is never a good watch, but I’m stuggling to pull any positives out of this dross fest.
Top 4 and a cup would be acceptable this year… looking less certain than it did a week ago though
I really thought we’d take Wednesday’s frustration out in Leicester today. None of your best team lost waffle this week

Jose has drilled us so much they dont know how to play normal football..
That was an answer, why would Rodgers be such an outlandish choice? Any more outlandish than Jose would have seemed 18 months ago?
But why? What happened. We beat some ‘big’ teams in recent weeks… and then it all goes Spursy again
But without the desire to attack.
So happy anti football is the way to win stuff… If it wasn’t I would be worried at the moment.
Please take Moura off…
Shocking.
We have a winnable run of games starting today and did the hard work with the big teams…but as Keane just said, Spurs of old have come back…
Klopp got the sort of money for transfers Levy will not provide, we need a different approach.
So you don’t have an answer, you’re just throwing stones.
I’m very close to turning this utter sh1te off
If we aren’t going to win all these big things playing like this, I’d rather not win big things playing nicer stuff.
Leicester’s manager hasn’t done badly today, what about him?
Not today, unfortunately.
Bale, Kane & Son are being paid £1,000,000 per week between them.
Any chance of some quality fellas.
true
Another player on my sale list thats still here..played a few good games but like Lamela, unreliable and can’t shoot…
We have not learned a thing. It was fun while it lasted. 2nd half at Palace tore the ring out of it.
Within the first 10 minutes you could see this looked similar to the Everton game – second to every ball, disjointed and sloppy touches.
We haven’t really been able to shake that – worrying.
Chocolate teapot.
I think Id rather Dele ali than Moura. I just don’t rate him. Aurier being out oit of his misery at last
It’s going to be a long dull christmas …………. chelski mate is already texting the p*ss. They’re a welcome distraction though.
All or nothing now.
