The new Premier League season is just a matter of days away now, and it’s as if the preseason never happened. By the time Tottenham play Burnley this Saturday afternoon, we will have already faced Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup, and the talk of transfer deals will have become deafening.

Under new head coach Thomas Frank, who appears fresh and invigorated after our warm-up games. Frank, late of Brentford, replaced Ange Postecoglou after a 17th-place finish last season. So it is reasonable to suspect that Tottenham will aim to improve their league performance while building on their 2024/25 Europa League success.

Fans will be speculating on our journey in all competitions, which this term sees a return to the Champions League, gaining any advantage when betting is crucial and crypto sportsbook provides excellent value, insight and guidance.

Tottenham Hotspur’s chances of winning the Premier League in the 2025-26 season are slim, but not entirely impossible. Based on current data, they face steep competition from Manchester City, who remain favourites with their dominant squad and Pep Guardiola’s tactical edge, alongside Arsenal, who have been consistent contenders. The main obstacle to all sides has Liverpool, who under Arne Slot have looked simply formidable.

Spurs finished fifth last season, showing improvement but struggling with consistency, particularly in defence. Whilst Ange Postecoglou won a trophy, this didn’t quite paint over the cracks of a miserable domestic season. Tottenham lost 22 games and were frequently unwatchable.

This time around, and with Son Heung-min having moved to the MLS, a replacement for such a stellar talent and the successful integration of young talent like Archie Gray will absolutely make or break our campaign.

Thomas Frank is a competent manager, unlike Big Ange’s kick and charge routine, but the Norwegian will still find he has a lot of hard work ahead of him. Perhaps the biggest challenge is to get Spurs scoring. Neither Richarlison nor Solanke have ever been prolific.

Brennan Johnson is yet another footballer that Frank needs to get to improve. joined Tottenham in 2023 for £47.5 million, where he won the UEFA Europa League in 2025, scoring the decisive goal in the final against Manchester United. He’s been scoring goals generally, of that there is no doubt, but what is required for him to become a player who is more integrally involved in the team’s overall play.

Johnson’s career stats include 247 matches, 70 goals, and 36 assists across various competitions. Despite facing online abuse in 2024, which led him to deactivate his social media, he rebounded strongly, becoming Tottenham’s top scorer in the 2024/25 season with 18 goals, yet more work is required.
